ANGIER - Daniel (Danny) Carambot died at 62 in Angier, North Carolina, in his home surrounded by his wife and children on September 9th, 2022 at 12:53 am, from cancer. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mimi. His daughters, Alexis, Erica, and Serena; his son, Matthew; his son-in-law, Leonardo Nunes and grandchild, Oliver Nunes; his Dog, Eskimo; his daughter, Lisandra Matin and sons, Christian and Brian Carambot. He was born on November 2nd, 1959 at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, to his parents, Olga Ramírez and Daniel Carambot. He has three siblings, Ivette Sanchez, Albert Carambot, and James Thompson. He went to the University of Puerto Rico, where he studied Business.
Danny loved to ride his motorcycles and transam, travel, and build model cars, airplanes, and helicopters in his spare time. When thinking back on Danny’s life you would know him as the man with the mustache or as twinkle toes when he bowled. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and friend. To everyone that knew him, he was a man of his word with no one having a negative thing to say about him. Danny was the type of man to go out of his way to help a stranger or friend in need. To his wife, her funniest memory was how they met at the car wash and went on their first date which turned out to be unsuccessful and left him thinking he would never get another date with her. To his children, the times that they taught him to roller blade and epically failed, or the time he took his daughters to his job for “Bring Your Child to Work Day,” which led to an ongoing joke that his job was sending out Christmas cards. For his family, the times they traveled or learned to be the most fashionable person at the pool wearing his shorts swim shorts or when wearing denim on denim. He will be so greatly missed.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 15th at 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, 1005 Wilbon Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
