Raleigh – Daniel Cleat Jones, 66, passed away on September 8, 2021. A native of Alamance County, Danny was born in Burlington, NC on August 23, 1955 to the late John Cleat and Josephine Meadows Jones. He was a longtime member of Garner Church of God and loved to help serve the church when he could. Danny was also an employee of Sentry Watch for more than 30 years. Funeral service will be Saturday, September 11, at 2:00 pm in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. The family will receive friends form 1:00 - 1:45 prior to the service. The entombment will be Monday, September 13, at 1:00 pm at Montlawn Memorial Park. Danny is survived by his wife, Carolyn Martin Jones; children, Jerry Evans and wife, Terra and Michael Evans; grandchildren, Kimberly, Austin, and Aidan Evans; sister, Debra Pender; and brother, Ricky Rich. In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by a son, Anthony Evans and his stepfather, Joe Rich.
