Daniel Ellis Rackley

GARNER – Daniel Ellis Rackley, 63, passed away Monday. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Midway Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 pm at the church prior to the service. Daniel was born in Duplin County to the late Emmitt and Edna Rackley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Daniel Alexander Rackley; infant grandson, Nehemiah Rackley; and a brother, William Rackley. He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife of 41 years, Patricia “Janie” Rackley; sons, Rev. Christopher Ellis Rackley and wife, Lesley of Wendell, Jason Daniel Rackley and wife, Karin of Garner; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Samuel, Kylie, Avery; sister and “mother,” Faye Wheeler of Goldsboro; sister, Cathy Slate and husband, Russell of Mechanicsville, VA; brother, Joseph Rackley and wife, Beate of Myrtle Beach, SC; and a host of extended family and friends.
