Danny P. Watkins, Sr.

ANGIER - Danny Parker Watkins, Sr. 82, passed away Wednesday at Wake - Med, Raleigh. A native of Harnett County he was the son of the late Ad and Vienna Marshburn Watkins. After retiring from the Fort Bragg Fire Department as Assistant Fire Chief, he farmed and developed real estate. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Plainview Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.He is survived by his wife, Barbara Davis Watkins; daughter, Debbie W. Adcock and husband, Randy; sons, Danny P. Watkins, Jr. and wife, Deborah and David W. Watkins; step-daughter, April Honeycutt and husband, Arvin, step-son, Bryan Davis all of Angier; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Johnson Watkins in 1999, brothers, Kenneth and William Watkins, sisters, Ida Jones and Ruby Dupree.The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 -8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier and at other times at the home.
