It is with deep sorrow and affection that we announce the passing of Darian Timothy Xavier Parrish, who peacefully passed in his sleep on March 14, 2024, in Raleigh, North Carolina. He had just celebrated his 28th birthday. Born in South Bend, Indiana, on March 13, 1996, Darian was a treasured son, father, brother, uncle and friend whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew him.
He worked at Do All NC by sunrise but as the daylight faded, he was passionate about gaming, particularly on his Xbox, where he enjoyed connecting with friends and creating a sense of community.
Darian's humor was like a “rare in-game” item—always surprising, delightful and quirky. His heart was the “ultimate loot”, filled with the kind of riches that didn't require any special “cheat codes”. He was the friend who would “buy you back” in Battle Royale. He was the one who you could talk to about anything. He was a people’s person who would make friends everywhere he would go. Darian loved getting to know you for who you really were, he was the best wingman you could have in your life.
Left to cherish Darian's memory are his loving Mother and Father Amanda and Kahlil Easton, his beloved children, Adrian Hope Marie Parrish, Hannah Lee Ann Parrish, Kahlia Allison Elaine Parrish, Maximus Rhyse Xavier Parrish and Korbin Ezekiel Parrish. He is also survived by his baby sister the “Pea to his Pod”, his “Ying to her Yang”, Makayla Parrish and her fiancé, Eric House, his “ACE” and his right-hand man, his brother the “Pepper” to his “Salt”, Kortez Easton and his significant other Faith Ranes. Half- siblings Johnathan and Katelyn Camparone and Jalen Parrish. His maternal grandparents Rochelle and Hector Moya, Richard Wickizer. Aunts, Dawn and Darrel Burger, Rebecca and Scott Kendall and Frankie Banks. Paternal Uncle Jason Tolley. Cousins, Richard “Cory” and Heather Wickizer, Gage Burger, Alicia Torres- Rios, Alejandro Torres-Rios, Joe Avina and Kinsleigh Kendall, Leanna Duran and Vincent Duran. Best Friends Grant Hayes, Marco Baker, Zach Miles and Max Connolly. His Best Friend and Mother of his Children, Charlotte Koehler. And so many countless others who will all hold Darian's memory dear.
Darian's pre-game lobby included some special guests who had already hit the continue button: Grandmother Johnnie Mae Simpson, Grandfather Melvin Easton, and Paternal Grandparents, Peggy and Robert Clark, Michelle Clark and Raymond Tolley. His loyal furry sidekicks, Kobe Kane and Beau Barry.
He could network like no other, connecting with people from all walks of life. He will be missed dearly by everyone who got to know him.
A grand celebration of Darian's ultimate playthrough will be hosted by Bryan-Lee Funeral Homes in Raleigh, located at 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27604.
So, let's not hit the 'Game Over' button just yet. Instead, let's keep Darian's memory alive in the cloud saves of our memories, sharing the Easter eggs and cheat codes he left behind. Keep your hearts in multiplayer mode and remember, in the game of life, Darian played it like a true legend.
