DARREL KENT BEST July 27,1968 - JUNE 25, 2012 GARNER - Darrel Kent Best, 43, passed away June 25, 2012. He graduated from Garner High School in 1986 and UNC Wilmington in 1990. A proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, Darrel had a successful career in sales and marketing, was an avid golfer, and loved water sports, snow skiing and traveling. Darrel is survived by his son, Graham Best; mother, Nell Best-Stephenson; brother, Ronnie Best and wife Linda; sister, Kim Adams; nieces, Kasey Best, Lindsey and Katy Adams; nephew Brandon Myatt and family; many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and SAE fraternity brothers; and his faithful companion, Buckley, a beautiful Labrador retriever. His loving father, Coleece Hale Best, preceded Darrel (Whitey), in death. The family will receive friends Thursday Evening, June 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Bryan Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner NC. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 29 at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, 5029 Old Stage Road, Raleigh, NC. Rev. Tim Fox and Rev. Paul Jones will officiate.
