David Austin Peterson

RALEIGH - David A. Peterson, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 6, 2014. David was born on July 10, 1955 in Rocky Mount, NC to Aaron L. Peterson and the late Mabel B. Peterson. David’s home was The O’Berry Center in Goldsboro for the past 30 years where he thrived due to the love and nurturing of his caregivers. He loved being around people and talked about cars, family and getting married. He proposed to every woman he ever met and they all said “yes!” J. David was always friendly and loving and was loved in return. He is survived by his dad, Aaron Peterson and his brother, Bobby Peterson along with numerous nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Peterson, brother, Skip Peterson and sister, Debbie Queen. A visitation will be on Thursday 12/11 (1pm-2pm) followed by a service at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Rd., Raleigh, NC 27604. Interment will be held immediately after the service at Raleigh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The O’Berry Center Foundation Inc, P.O. Box 1157, Goldsboro, NC 27533.
