David Earl Bennett

David E. Bennett, 76, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on June 8, 2022, after an 11-year battle with Dementia Alzheimer’s. He was surrounded by his family when he joined the Lord. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis; children, Talytha Swain (David) of Rougemont, NC, and Ashley Bennett (Kathy) of Fuquay-Varina, NC; and four grandchildren, Kayla Bennett (fiance Mitchell Price), Miles Bennett, Tyler Moore, and Ryan Moore. David retired from Progress Energy/Duke Energy for 37 years in engineering lighting design and customer service. He spent his free time enjoying his garage workshop and building furniture. David’s greatest love was his wife and family. He loved laughing, joking, and spending time with his grandchildren.
