ANGIER-David Ingham Stephenson, 83, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, February 4th. Spending most of his life in Angier, he was the son of the late Ingham Solomon Stephenson and Lula Pleasant Stephenson. David was a tremendous husband to his wife and father to his children. He led and taught by example to love the Lord, care for others, work hard and be honest. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 8th at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church from 3:00 – 4:00 PM. A celebration service will follow the visitation at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church at 4:00 PM. The celebration will be available for remote viewing on Facebook. David is survived by his wife of 63 years, Euba Young Stephenson; daughters, Tammy Swindell (Andy) of Durham, Jill Strickhouser (Doug) of Lexington, SC, Julie Mazzocchi of Huntersville, NC; son, Mickey Stephenson (Lynn) of Creedmoor; brother, A.D. Stephenson of Garner; eight grandchildren, Aubrey Strickhouser, Rachel Strickhouser, David Stephenson, Ian Swindell, Sean Stephenson, Lauren Stephenson, Tanner Mazzocchi, Aiden Mazzocchi and one great-grandchild, Maeve Stephenson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Pauline Guy, Leola Stephenson, Sue Nooney; brothers, Reverend John B. Stephenson, Reverend Julian Stephenson, Lindsy Stephenson, and Wade Stephenson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, 4440-A Piney Grove Road, Angier, NC 27501.
