David Lee Carter

GARNER - David Lee Carter passed from this earth and into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 6/20/20. He was preceded in death in 2001 by his wife of 33 years, Lillian Leona Carter. He was the loving son of Willis H. Carter and Edna L. Bassett. He was also preceded in death by his only brother, Willis Carter. He is survived by his son, Randall D. Carter and daughter, Sharon L. Earnhardt as well as his daughter-in-law, Barbara L. Carter and son-in-law, Ty Earnhardt and granddaughter, Faye R. Foreman. In addition to his immediate family David is survived by his loving companion of 17 years, Mrs. Carolyn Mehlich. He is also survived by two nephews, Billy Carter and Eddie Carter and his niece, Kathy Infringer Wherry. He was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC and was president and teacher of his Sunday School class. He retired from Reichhold Chemicals after more than 25 years of service. David was a wonderful father and friend to many and truly never met a stranger.
