David Lipscomb

David Prince Lipscomb, Sr, 82, of Willow Spring, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2021, after a lengthy battle with COPD. David was born in Willow Spring, NC on March 28, 1939, where he lived all of his life. He was the youngest child of William “Bud” and Daisy Smith Lipscomb. He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as brothers Clyde and William Lipscomb, and grandson Matthew Callis. David is survived by his loving wife of almost 65 years Faye Rhodes Lipscomb and children, Wanda Callis (William), Jeanene Matthews (Al), David Lipscomb, Jr. (Angela), and Scott Lipscomb. Grandchildren are Edward Callis, Jacqueline Jones (Allen), Brittany Atkins (Ryan), Jordan Riley (Garrett), Logan Sedivy (Adam), Grant Lipscomb, and Daisy Lipscomb. Great grandchildren are Kennedy Atkins, Hudson Atkins, Grayson Riley, Rylan Sedivy, and Brantley Sedivy. He is also survived by Nester, his constant and comforting companion. Family will gather at the home, 2471 Bud Lipscomb Road, Willow Spring, NC. The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
