WILLOW SPRING – David Louis Clark, 68, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018. A viewing and visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 14, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 15, in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Burial will follow at a later date in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake. David was born in Jefferson County, Kentucky on January 23, 1949. Originally from Pleasure Ridge, KY, David resided in Willow Spring, NC. He graduated from Pleasure Ridge High School and went on to graduate from the University of Kentucky. David honorably served his country in the armed forces and was a decorated Vietnam Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Cletus and Francis Gertrude Clark; sister, Mary Jo Allen; and brother, Joseph Edward Clark. David is survived by a loving family which includes his wife, Janet; daughter, Chelsea; three sons, David, James and Julian; canine companion, Lincoln; sister, Diane; and brothers, Bobby, Tony, Bill, Donny, Charlie, Terry. In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, Lymphoma Society, or donations may be made to the family.
