David Nelson Scott

Raleigh - David Nelson Scott, 68, a retired officer with the Raleigh Police Department, died Wednesday. A native of Robeson Co. he was a member of the US Marine Corp and served in the Viet Nam War where he received a Purple Heart.Funeral Service will be 2:00 Monday at Highland Baptist Church, 8524 Crowder Road, Raleigh. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Surviving daughter, Shelley Jessup; son, David Scott; grandchildren, Caroline Stanford and husband Trey, Brittney Jessup, Jacob Jessup and great grandchild, Chloe Stanford. Former wife and mother of his children, Patsy Scott all of RaleighThe family will be accepting other relatives and friends at the home of Shelley Canuto and David Scott. .. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
