David R. Barbour

LILLINGTON – David Rubin Barbour, 77, passed away on Saturday at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Wake County, he was the son of the late David Howard Barbour and Mary Louise Williams Barbour.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 1st at Greater Light Baptist Church, 2028 Matthews Rd. Lillington, NC 27546.

David is survived by his daughters, Carrie Anne, Kelly O’Neill Smith (Otto), Charity Colglazier, Shalon Edwards (Richard), Allison Barbour, Stephanie Barbour; sons, Michael Patrick O’Neill and Ryan Gaylan; grandchildren, Shawn Willey, Tyler Goodnow, Kyle Goodnow, Richards Edwards III, Camille Edwards, Olivia Barbour, Emily Barbour, Jeremiah Nolon, Harmony Beck, Hope Beck, David Beck, Faith Beck, Gabriel Barbour, and Michael Bryce O’Neill; sisters, Sylvia Pickel and Dora May; along with many great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his late wives, Deborah Patrice Dunning Barbour and Laurie Jean O’Neill Barbour; grandchild, Caleb Lee O’Neill; brothers, Michael Wayne Barbour and Edward Mack Barbour; brother-in-law, J.C. May; and a great-grandson, Lucas Paul Willey.
