FUQUAY-VARINA – Glenna “Dean” King, 62, passed away on Sunday at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Abingdon, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Roy Glen Moore and Elizabeth McCray Moore. Dean was a loving wife, mother, and Nana and will be dearly missed by all her friends and family. She fought a long, hard battle but is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior and made whole and new again.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 19th in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 18th at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Edward P. “Ed” King, Jr.; daughter, Nancy Rebecca Barwick (Jeremy) of Angier; son, Edward “Paul” King, III (Alex) of Selma; sister, Cindy Robbins (Robby) of Garner; sister-in-law, Robin Moore of Sneads Ferry; brother, Randy Moore (Polly) of Bellfast, VA; grandchildren, Caroline Barwick, Olivia Barwick, Ryker King, and Adelynn King.
In addition to her parents, Dean was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Jolene Tweed; and her brother, Chris Moore.
