Dearl Gray Ferrell

Dearl Gray Tant Ferrell, 92, passed away on April 26, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Junie and Viola Tant.

“Nana” was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother and sister. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-love, Jackie Grey and Rodney Barbour; son and daughter-in-love, Ricky and Dee Ferrell; daughter-in-love, Janet Ferrell; grandchildren, Jamie Knipp (Daryl), Leah Reitano (Sal), Lauren Gray Ferrell, Leslie Buchanan (Ryan), Logan Ferrell (Tabitha), Jana Grey Williams (Matt) and Kathy Etheridge (Stephen); great-grandchildren, Brittany Corley, Jordan Corley, Jayce Etheridge, Baylee Etheridge, Gabby Gray Reitano, Ita Buchanan and Kara Grey Ferrell; great-great-grandchildren, Emmalynn Grey Gunn, Mavis Jones, Elijah Strait, Ella Strait and 5th great-great-grandchild due in September. A total of 7 girls in Nana’s family share her middle name, Gray or Grey, which is the number of completion. She is also survived by brother, Demo Tant, sister, Lucille Pearce and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Jack Ferrell; son, Bobby Stuart Ferrell; and siblings, Elmo Tant and Liza Ray.

Funeral service will be Monday, May 1, 2023, at 11:00am, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 2:00 in Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, 874 Pine Ridge Road, Zebulon, NC 27597.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 3-5 p.m. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner, NC.
