Debbie Bagley Mobley

Raleigh – Deborah Bagley Mobley, 74, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 29, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Charles Henry Bagley and Mildred Ayers Bagley.

Debbie had a great love for her family and her faith in Christ. Beginning in 1980, she was the pianist for Garner Church of Christ, but played piano in church starting in her childhood. Above all, she had a one-of-a-kind soul that radiated onto others. Everyone was placed first over herself and she cared deeply about others. Debbie was very gentle, kind and never judged anyone she met. She attended NC State University and graduated in 1969 with her bachelor’s in applied mathematics. Debbie was one of the first women to graduate from NC State at the time. Her brother, Greg, always thought of her as a second mother and she treated him as a son. She was an amazing mother to all her children and had special bonds with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 1:30 PM at Garner Church of Christ, 1364 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:15 PM at Garner Church of Christ.

In addition to her loving husband, Jimmie Lee Mobley; Debbie is survived by her son, Joshua Lee Mobley, his wife Kimberly, and their children Jonathan and Rosemary; daughter, Stacie Leigh King, her husband Adrian, and her children Morgan and Maeve Pleasant; brother Charles “Greg” Bagley and his wife Lisa; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by her daughter, Jamie Leighann Mobley.
