Deborah Tyler Seymour, 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by her three children on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. She was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Marvin Tyler and her survived Mother, Betty Tyler on April 26, 1952. Also surviving are two sisters, Rebecca (Gary) and Cynthia. A lover of the fine arts, Deborah played many instruments, including piano, organ, and guitar, and volunteered often for the North Carolina Museum of Art. Her faith in God was persistent throughout her entire life and brought her profound joy that was evident in her beaming smile. A loving and dedicated mother, Deborah is survived by her son Brian Vuckovich and wife Pamela, daughter Kristin Smith and husband James, and son Sean Seymour. She is also survived by her grandson Alaric Vuckovich. Diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia at age 57, Deborah started a long journey with a debilitating disease. Her family and friends played a crucial role in helping her throughout this difficult time. Sister Cynthia Stephens, family friend Margaret McLamb and close friend Richard Cloudt provided much needed assistance in years before her diagnosis and throughout her battle with her illness. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Deborah their greatest and warmest gratitude. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on December 8, 2018, at 2pm at Fairmont United Methodist Church, 2501 Clark Ave, Raleigh, NC 27607. A following prayer will take place nearby at Raleigh Municipal Rose Garden, a place that was sacred to Deborah. The family will receive guests at Fairmont for visitation following this.
