Delisa Marie Staps

Delisa Marie Staps, 41, finally won her battle with cancer today leaving behind her mortal body in exchange for eternal life with her heavenly Father. Delisa’s chosen profession was law enforcement, serving as a deputy in several counties of North Carolina, most recently Harnett County as Cpl. Delisa Staps. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM at D. Rich Auditorium on the Campus of Campbell University. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Surviving are her husband, Hans Staps; daughter, Shelby Staps, son, David “Hanson” Staps; mother, Rita Messer; sister, Gail Messer Smith; brother, Robert Brennan, Jr.; nephew Robert Brennan, III, and her aunt Margie Baker. Delisa was preceded in death by her father, David Oscar Messer and aunt Shelby Jean Messer.
