Dennis F. Wood, Jr.

CARY - Dennis F. Wood, Jr. passed away on March 27, 2018. He was born in Beckley, WV to Dennis and Russie Wood. He first moved to Raleigh in 1954 to work for General Electric Financial Services. He moved several times with the company and after his retirement he returned to the Raleigh area in 1991. Dennis was a member of the Raleigh Sports Club as well as the Sons of the American Revolution (Fincastle, VA Chapter). Dennis is survived by his wife of 67 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Wood, son Dennis Wood (Cindy), grandsons Michael Wood (Amy) and Spenser Wood, great-grandchildren Mason and Riley Wood. We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hillcrest Raleigh for the excellent care that he received. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 4th from 1:30 to 3:00 at the Waltonwood Cary Parkway Senior Living Community located at 750 SE Cary Parkway. Burial will be on Saturday, April 7th, in Beckley, WV.
