Diana Gail Armstrong Osborne

RALEIGH-Diana Gail Armstrong Osborne, 63, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 5, 2011 at her home in Raleigh, NC after a long struggle with Cushings, then Addisons disease. Gail was born in Charlotte and grew up in nearby MountHolly. She attended Kings College in Charlotte and Hardbargers BusinessCollege in Raleigh. This led to a very successful career as an executive secretary with the NC DOT, Atlantic States Bankcard Assoc. and the NC Legislature. Concurrently, she was a savvy investor and licensed realtor who actively managed her extensive real estate holdings in Raleigh in partnership with Joe Osborne of Atlantic Beach, NC. She is survived by her brothers, both of Raleigh: Jeffery M. Armstrong and wife Martha; Timothy S. Armstrong and wife, Sharon Spry. She was a loving and adoring aunt to Shannon Armstrong Brien and husband, Josh of Raleigh; Bill Armstrong of Raleigh; Jason Armstrong and wife, Heather and their children, Riley, Kennedy and Keagan of Virginia Beach, VA. She also loved and adored her large Gregory family. Gail was preceded in death by her much beloved mother, Betty Gregory Armstrong of Raleigh, and brother, H. David Armstrong of Hartsville, SC. Visitation with Gails family will begin at 1pm Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 300 E. McIver Street, Angier NC, followed by the memorial service at 2pm. A graveside service in Harnett Memorial Park will follow. Words will never fully express the love and admiration we have felt for all the wonderful moments we have shared with Gail.
