CLAYTON - Dianne Carole Regentin Myatt, 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. She was born in Flint, Michigan to Verne and Geraldine Griffin on July 7, 1943. Dianne moved to Garner in 1978 and worked at Underwood Elementary before working at Dorothea Dix Hospital, where she served as the first female police officer. She retired from Dorothea Dix in 1999. A devoted wife, mother and Nanny, she will fondly be remembered for her love of family, and her commitment to helping others. Funeral service will be 10:00am Saturday, March 10th at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Burial will follow at Willow Spring Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Willow Spring. A visitation with the family will be from 6:00-8:00pm Friday, March 9th at the funeral home. She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Rickey Myatt; her daughters, Kathy Tew, Sue Mason (Jamie) and Debbie Regentin; son, Richard Regentin (Kari); step-daughter, Carrie Glenn (Dwight); step-son, Kent; grandchildren, Ryan, Hunter, Richard, Krisann, Abbey, Lindsey, Parker, Megan, Caitlyn, Hannah, Cylas, and Colban; great-grandchildren, Braylon and Jude; and special friend, Wendy Jackson. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the caring staff at The Oaks at Mayview and Transitions Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Alzheimer’s Foundation.
