Dohn L. Mahan

Dohn Lamont Mahan, 71, died Sunday at Wake Med Hospital, Raleigh, NC. Born in Denver, CO, raised in Kennewick, WA, he was the son of the late Oliver and Erma Mahan. Dohn earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from Montana State University. He graduated from Officer Candidate School for the United States Navy in Providence, RI in 1966. He married Margaret Hammer, also in 1966 and served in the Navy until 1969. Margaret and Dohn settled in Rochester, NY where Dohn worked for Eastman Kodak Company for 30 years.He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margaret Mahan; son, Garry Mahan and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Catherine Hall and husband, James Hall. Dohns pride and joy were his 12 grandchildren, Joshua, Chris, Elizabeth and Collin Mahan, Elliott, Grace, Hannah, Mariama, Evan, Emma, Bennett and Wyatt Hall. Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Thursday at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Garner. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00-7:00 pm at the church.
