Donald Aaron Hodge, Sr.

Raleigh - Donald Aaron Hodge, Sr., 80, died Tuesday. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Ed and Vera Wall Hodge. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. He worked for Brinks for over 35 years and was faithful to his church in attendance and service. Donald was dedicated to his family and a very proud PaPa to his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Kay Bagwell Hodge; sons Don Hodge, Jr. and wife, Sheila of Benson, Andrew Hodge and wife, Jenny of Clayton and Robert Hodge and wife, Lisa of Raleigh; sisters, Margaret Belcher and husband, Ray of Normal, IL and Blanche Hodge of Greensboro; his special grandchildren, Justin, Amber, Jodie and Morgan and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gardner Hodge. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Thursday evening at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Wake County who guided them through the last days and also to the many family members, old friends and new ones, who were supportive and loving.
