Donald Dwayne Moore

GARNER– Donald Dwayne Moore, 66, passed away on June 23, 2023. A native of Wake County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late George Donald Moore and Betty Phelps Moore. Donnie was an exceptional Poppy, father, brother, and friend. He will be remembered fondly by those who loved him.

Donnie is survived by his loving daughter, Kristin (Scott) Riggins and two wonderful brothers, Ken (Darlene) Moore and Jeff (Sarah) Moore. Donnie was blessed with 3 grandchildren whom he loved very much. Being a grandfather brought him so much joy as he loved spending time with his grandsons Adam and Luke. The final week of his life was brightened with the arrival of his only granddaughter, Emma.

Donnie loved competing in local pool tournaments and spoke often of the friends that he played pool with. Donnie had many strong friendships that he cherished greatly throughout his life and was extremely loyal to anyone who he considered a friend.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Rex Hospital for the amazing care and support that was offered during his time there.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 12:00 PM, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529. The family will receive friends and family for a time of visitation at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner from 11:00 AM –11:45 AM on June 28, 2023, an hour prior to the service.
