Donald E. Myers

Donald E. Myers passed away peacefully at home on September 1, 2016. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 10, at 2pm at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Lennox and Eloise Cobb Myers and his sister Francis Wolford. Don is survived by his wife of 66 years, Geraldine Williams Myers; daughter Donna Hughes and husband Steve of Raleigh; son Steve Myers and wife Beth, of Asheville and granddaughter Joyner Myers. Don was born in Johnston County, but lived most of his life in Raleigh. Don’s joking wit and work ethic never let him meet a stranger. He enjoyed the beach, fishing, ACC Sports, his work, and spending time with family.
