Donald Edwin Schell, Sr.

Donald E. Schell, Sr. 78, passed away suddenly at home July 9, 2020. A native of Fremont, Ohio, he was the son of the late Herbert and Carolyn Hoot Schell. Donald spent his working career in the Tool and Die industry, where he finished his career as a Manager. He also proudly served his country in the National Guard. Donald was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather brother and friend. There will be a Prayer Service at 11:00 AM Wednesday July 15, 2020 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner., with Military Honors. Along with his parents Donald was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Hoffert. He is survived by his wife of 54 years; Margaret Borer Schell; daughters, Mary Schell and husband Rocco Altomare and Jessica Schell and partner, Colleen Olfenbuttel; son, Donnie Schell, Jr.; grandchildren, Austin Constantino, Rocky Altomare, Jr., Matthew Schell, Miriam Schell and Jacob Schell; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Gabriel and Lucas. The family will receive friends after the service.
