Donald “George” Parnell

Fuquay-Varina- Donald George Parnell, 55, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday. Born in Moore County, George was the son of the late Donald Reginald Parnell and Leila Ivey Parnell. George is survived by his loving wife, Sue Parnell; daughter, Jennifer Mires McCartney and husband, Eric of Holly Springs; three grandchildren, Dakota Mires of Fuquay-Varina, Hunter Mires of Holly Springs, Ashley Mires of Holly Springs; brothers, Gordon Parnell and wife, May of St. Pauls, David Parnell and wife, Beth of Fuquay-Varina, Ivey Parnell and wife, Karen of St. Pauls; Danny Keating and wife Shylene of Wilmington, additional Loving Father Al Keating and step-mother, Bonnie of Fuquay-Varina, brother-in-law, Lee Hicks of Knightdale; sister-in-law, Debbie Alba of Durham, extended family Heather, Olivia, Mikaila, Kegan and Colbe of Fuquay-Varina. George was loved by many nieces and nephews as well as his large extended family and special friends he held close to his heart. In addition to his parents George was preceded death by his loving sons, Adam Parnell and Michael Mires and special sister-in-law, Kathy Rose.
