FUQUAY-VARINA – Donald Lee McClaren, 68, passed away Monday at his home. Born in Iowa, Don was the son of the late Basil Herman McClaren and Maxine Billings McClaren. Don proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before going on to serve in the Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Mary McClaren; children, Donald C. McClaren and wife, Beth; Joseph McClaren and wife, Megan; John Stamer and wife, Karri, Josh Stamer and wife, Jessica; siblings, Neva Nolan and husband, Rick, Robert McClaren and wife, Pam, Linda Terrell and husband, Don, Gary McClaren and wife, Linda, Mike McClaren; sister-in-law, Jennifer McClaren; grandchildren, Ryan McClaren, Cassidy McClaren, Aidan McClaren, Makayla Stamer, Andrew Stamer, Maximus Stamer, Evalynn Stamer, and Leonidas Stamer. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim McClaren, Rick McClaren, and Dick McClaren.
