Donald Wayne (Don) Martin, Jr.

On Tuesday, October, 6 2020 Donald (Don) Wayne Martin, Jr. beloved son, brother and uncle passed away unexpectedly at the age of 56. He was born on April 10, 1964 in Raleigh, NC to Donald Wayne (Wayne) Martin, Sr. and Linda Woolard Martin. He was a graduate of Athens Drive High School and Wake Technical Community College. Don was a longtime employee of the state of North Carolina working mostly for the NCDMV where he retired. Don had a quiet spirit and was a true lover of all kinds of animals and things in nature. His presence will be missed by many who knew him. Don is survived by his parents, Wayne and Linda Martin of Raleigh, Brother - Scott and Barri Martin, Nieces, Grace and Lily Martin of Willow Spring. He also leaves behind many aunts and uncles; Kenneth Martin of Broadway, NC; Glen Nelda Bowen of Washington, NC; Ray Pippin of Washington, NC; Ward Melitta Bullock of Washington, NC; Mike and Lori Tetterton of Bailey, NC. He had many, many first and second cousins as well. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Nathan Sally Martin, Ernel Pearl Woolard, Aunt Peggy Pippin, and his nephew, Nathan Scott Martin. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 2:30pm at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cerebral Palsey Foundation.
