Donna Adams

ANGIER – Donna Senter Adams, 72, passed away Thursday at Johnston Health in Smithfield. Born in Wake county, she was the daughter the late Lester David Senter and mother, the late Kathleen Carter Dupree. She was a 1967 graduate of Angier High school. She married her High School sweetheart Warren Adams. Donna was a dedicated wife, mother, sister and she treasured her grandsons and family. She always enjoyed trying out new recipes, going to her grandsons ballgames/tournaments, shopping, camping and looking after her two cats Tux and Moses. She was passionate about her church family at Kennebec Baptist Church and loved her Sunday school class and WMU. Donna retired after 22 years from Duke Energy Performing Arts as Assistant Box Office Manager. After retirement, she was proud to work at the Angier Chamber of Commerce as Assistant Director. She was fully committed to serving her community in every way. She loved her hometown and was recognized by the Angier Lions Club with the President’s Appreciation Award for her exceptional devoted service and support. She was also a faithful, active chamber member and served as Treasurer with the Angier Lions Club. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 8th at 11:00 AM at Kennebec Baptist Church, Angier. The burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. For those who would like to sign the register and pay their respects, Donna will lie in state Sunday, February 7th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. The service will be available for remote viewing on the Kennebec Baptist Church Facebook page. Donna is survived by her husband of 53 years, Warren Adams; sons, Tim Adams (Tricia) of Lillington, Chris Adams (Heather) of Broadway; sisters, Patsy McLeod (Tim) of Fuquay-Varina, Anfesa Matthews (Al) of Angier, and Debbie Pollard (Phil) of Angier; beloved grandsons, Tanner Adams, Trace Adams, and Jackson Adams; and very special nieces and nephews.
