With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Donna Day Brown of 148 Victory Circle, Willow Spring, North Carolina. She passed peacefully at her home with her family by her side following a long illness on July 24, 2024. Donna was the shining light in all our lives. Her wonderful wit, undying love for her family, her sweet smile, bubbly personality, and kindness and compassion for others are only a few of the beautiful attributes that Donna possessed. She uplifted all of us and those around her as the tide lifts all boats. Our lives have been truly blessed to travel life's journey with this wonderful, beautiful Angel on Earth at our sides.
Donna was born in Fort Benning Georgia on November 22nd, 1949. The daughter of Wilfred Gregoire and Margaret (Day) Gregoire. Donna graduated from Pemberton Township High School in Pemberton, New Jersey. During her years in Maine, she worked for the Kennebec Valley Medical Center in Augusta, Maine as an Assistant Medical Librarian and Ward Clerk for a skilled nursing facility in Gardner, Maine. She completed her medical career as a Referral Coordinator for SAS Health Care Center in Cary, North Carolina.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Danny Brown of the home, Three Sons; Adam Brown of Dunn, NC, Justin Masterman of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Ryan Masterman of West Gardiner, Maine and Brother Stephen Gregoire of Florida. Daughter in laws; Brittney Brown of Dunn, NC and Allison Masterman of Fuquay-Varina, NC. Granddaughters; Avery, Abigail and Aubrey of Dunn, NC. Grandsons; Forrest and Dylan and Granddaughters; Briar and Skylar of Fuquay-Varina NC.
Donna was predeceased in death by her parents, Wilfred and Margaret Gregoire and Brother Michael Gregoire.
The Family would like to thank and express gratitude for all of those people who have been a part of her life and for the staff at 3HC Hospice for their compassionate care. Also, to the fine, caring people of Bryan-Lee Funeral home whose respect, care, and reverence to our beloved Donna will always be remembered.
No services are planned at this time. A private interment will be held at a later date.
