Donna Lee Douglass

Donna Lee Douglass, 81, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024. A native of West Elizabeth, PA, she was born April 5, 1943, to the late George Jackson and Merlin (Pearsol) Miller.  Donna loved fashion and shopping, always sharing her passion with her daughters and granddaughters. She enjoyed doing ceramics and crafting, sharing recipes and photographs, and making trips to the beach. Her family was her greatest achievement. Affectionately called “Mimi,” she adored spending time with her grandchildren, pouring into them all the wonderful things she could as a grandmother. She loved collecting angels and on Saturday, became one herself.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM Friday, September 6, 2024, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road Garner, NC 27529. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel.

Donna is survived by her husband of 56 years, Nelson Hunter Douglass; daughters, Erin Rachelle Lesnicky and husband, Louis and Keriann Wheelin and husband, Justin; grandchildren, Kelsey Rachelle Cornelius and husband, Joey, Lorin Ashlee Langdon and husband, Dawson, Hunter Douglass Kruse, and Jackson William Wheelin; great grandson, Lucas Edward Cornelius; sisters, Merlyn (late Robert) O’Bryon, Betty (late Von) Brachna, and Georgia Irwin and husband, Richard; sister-in-law, Evelyn (late Lonnie) Koontz; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A special thank you to the many friends, family, and neighbors for all the love, care, and support that was given to Donna and the family over the past several months.
