Donnie Wayne Raybon

Clayton - Donnie Wayne Raybon, 58, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012. Mr. Raybon was born in Raleigh, NC on August 17, 1953, to the late John Elmo and Doris Denton Raybon. He graduated from Broughton High School and has been employed with the News and Observer Publishing Company for 39 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hatchel Raybon; daughter, Megan L. Raybon, of Clayton; sister, Joyce Nealen and her husband, Jacob, nephew, Glenn Raybon and his wife, Susan, niece, Amanda Nealen, great niece, Samantha Raybon, all of Willow Spring; and an aunt, Melba Harris, of Zebulon. Donnie loved to make his friends and family laugh. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing with his dog Riley. He was a great husband, father and brother and will be greatly missed. Donnie was a light in this dark world. Many lives will never be the same because of Donnie. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:30pm Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Mid-Way Baptist Church, 6910 Fayetteville Road, Raleigh, NC. The funeral will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at 2:00pm at Mid-Way Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Clayton.
