Dora Avery Baucom

GARNER - Dora A. Baucom, 89, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 13, 2011. Graveside service will be 11:00 am Tuesday August 16, 2011 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:30- 11:00 AM at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Dora was preceded in death by her first husband, Gherman Ray Smith, and her parents, Hubert and Sophia Austin Avery. She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Rittenhouse and husband Barry; a son, Forrest Ray Smith and a brother, Samuel Avery. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Tom Baucom; three daughters,Yetive Capps and husband Louis, Julie Jones and husband Dan and Katherine Baucom; son Tommy Baucom and wife Ruth; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
