Doris Brown Jolly, 85, passed away Sunday at Rex Hospital. A native of Harnett County, Doris was the daughter of the late Thurman Brown and Evie B. Capps. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Thursday, July 9th at 11:00 AM at Maplewood Cemetery, Clayton. The wearing of a mask and social distancing are encouraged when attending the graveside service. Along with her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, James H. Johnson, Jr. and her second husband Bill Jolly; three brothers; Billy Brown, Rudy Brown and Sonny Brown. Doris is survived by her sons, Jamey Johnson (Arlene) and Dan Johnson (Tammy); brothers, Jimmy Capps (Susan), Joe Capps (Kay); grandchildren, Brooke Granger (Levi), Brittney Lee (Jason), Brandi Johnson, Christopher Johnson (Jennifer), Lori Whitlow (Dallas) and Jeromy Johnson (Crystal); 10-great grandchildren; Kari Ebia Johnson, Katelyn Johnson, Krystyn Johnson, Morgan Whitlow, Logan Whitlow, Payton Braswell, Colton Daniel Lee, Sunnie Kate Lee, Abigail June Johnson and Adalynn Mae Johnson and 1-on the way; also survived by a sister-in-law; Carol Brown and a large extended family. Doris will be available for viewing on Wednesday, July 8th from 12:00-5:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. (no family will be present).
