Doris Eason Dale

GARNER– Doris Eason Dale, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on, December 15, 2023. A native of Johnston County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Bob William Eason and Bettie Louvenia Westbrook.

In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Odyth Dale.

Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. On December 31, 1948, she married the love of her life and best friend, Raymond Dale, and together they raised four children whom Doris loved very dearly. She began her career by following her passion for cosmetology and was a successful beautician for 40 years. She was an active member of Highland Baptist Church for 50 years where she was heavily involved with work in her community. She will be remembered fondly by her family and friends as a woman of great strength and conviction.

Doris is survived by her sons, Doug Dale (Diana) of Austin, Texas, and Wayne Dale (Terry) of Clayton, North Carolina; daughters, Nancy Baker (Anderson) of Angier, North Carolina, and Jean Morgan (Randy) of Angier, North Carolina; grandchildren, Scott Morgan, Ellen Maxey (Wade), Joshua Dale, and Davis Dale (Kathy); and great grandchild, Hope Maxey.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, North Carolina 27529. The family will receive friends and family for a period of visitation at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, from 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at Princeton Cemetery, Dr Donnie H Jones Jr Blvd E., Princeton, North Carolina 27569.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris’s honor to SECU Hospice House, 426 Hospital Road, Smithfield, North Carolina 27577.
