Doris Hawley Carroll

WILLOW SPRING- Doris Hawley Carroll, age 89, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 8, 2021. She was born June 9, 1931 to Vada Adams Dean and Simon Creech. She worked at Angier Knitting for over 15 years and subsequently at Walker Auto Parts in Fuquay-Varina with her husband. She was a loving mother to three children. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse: “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” Ephesians 4:32. She was the much loved mother of Diane Hawley Matthews and spouse Johnny, Donny Hawley and spouse Sharon Hawley, Ken Hawley and spouse Darlene Hawley. She was the cherished grandmother of Kerry Funderburk, Bryan Matthews, Chris Hawley, Shane Hawley, Krystal Munday, Adam Cantu, Andrew Hawley, Andrea Faucette, and Justin Hawley. Doris was great grandmother to 18 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved and touched deeply. Doris is survived by her brothers Jerry Creech and wife Lee, Jerry Dean and sisters Doris Davis, Faye Dean Smith and beloved family members and special friends Shirley Hawley and Florine Gupton. She was preceded in death by husband Andrew Hawley and husband Billy Carroll; brother Donald Creech and sister Marie Hord. The family will receive friends Monday, April 12, 2021 from 6-8 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Graveside service will be held at Willow Springs Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 11 AM.
