Doris Stephenson Adams

February 21, 1933 - September 2, 2011 ANGIER - Doris Stephenson Adams, 78, passed away on Friday. A native of Harnett County, she is the daughter of the late Onslow S. and Virginia Inez Collins Stephenson. Doris was a member of Angier United Methodist Church and a former member of the Black River Rescue Squad. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday at Angier United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. Survivors include her sons, T. Steve Gardner and his wife, Sherry, of Raleigh, Michael Adams, of Angier; grandchildren, Kristin Adams and Stephen Daniel Gardner; sisters, Jean S. Wilkerson and Patsy S. Altman; and brother Donnie H. Stephenson. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by an Infant daughter, Penny. The family will receive friends Monday 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Flowers are welcomed or donations may be made to Angier UMC, 278 S. Wilma St. Angier, NC 27501.
