Dorothy H. Cotten

FUQUAY-VARINA – Dorothy H. Cotten, 92, passed away on Thursday at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late George H. Henderson and Sallie Mathews Henderson.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 4th at 2:00 pm at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 pm on Tuesday, October 4th at Wake Chapel Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Cotten Suggs of Bath; grandchildren, Renno “Alex” O’Neal of Bath, Martaleigh O’Neal of Winterville, and Layla Suggs of Greenville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. “Renno” Cotten; daughter, Nancy Ruth Cotten; brothers, Junius Henderson and James Henderson; great-grandchild, Loralynn Grace O’Neal.

The family so appreciates Rex Hospital ER, Palliative Care Unit, and Heartland Hospice staff for amazing personal and family care during the last weeks of mama’s life.
