Dorothy Inman Dot Watkins

GARNER - Dorothy Jane Inman Watkins, 83, beloved mother, sister and friend, passed away Sunday at Rex Hospital. Born in Robeson County, she was the daughter of the late Cale Ernest Inman and Mary Charity Mitchell Inman. She retired from the Wake County School System after 24 years of service. She was a charter member of Aversboro Road Baptist Church and a member of the Garner Civitan Club. The funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday at Aversboro Road Baptist Church in Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Broadwell and husband, Ray of Raleigh; son, Ray Watkins and wife, Pam of Clayton; twin sister, Doris Lewis of Clinton; grandchildren, Ryan Broadwell and wife, Crystal, Megan Winters and husband, Nathan, Jena Watkins and Haley Watkins; great-grandchildren, Natalie Broadwell and Hunter Broadwell.She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayford Fenner Watkins, Jr.; sister, Margaret Stich and brother, Dr. C.E. Inman.The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 pm Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
