RALEIGH- Dorothy Lassiter Clayton, 88, of Raleigh, died Feb. 7, 2012. She was born Dorothy Imogene Lassiter on April 15, 1923 in Four Oaks, NC,the daughter of the late Ralph Andrew and Mattie Johnson Lassiter. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, GarneronFriday Feb. 10, 2012. Burial to follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Preceded in death by her husband, Zeb Vance Clayton, Jr., her son Broderick Clayton, and sisters, Clara, Grace and Matilda, she is survived by three children: her daughter, Aurelia Clayton of Raleigh and two sons, Darryl Clayton of Raleigh and Basil Clayton (Jane) of Angier; five grandchildren, Emily McLawhorn (John) of Fuquay-Varina, Kasey Clayton, Sarah Clayton, and Kyle Cochran all of Raleigh, and Sam Cox (Marty) of Angier; six great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Joseph (Laura) of Elba, AL., Norman (Elaine) of Buena Park, CA., and Roy (Margie) of Merritt, NC.Memorial gifts can be made to Hospice of Wake County at www.apps.hospiceofwake.org.donate.php?mode=publicview
