Dorothy Louise Weaver

Clayton – Mrs. Dot Weaver, 87, entered the presence of Jesus on October 26, 2022, surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. Dorothy is predeceased by her parents, Norwood Sasser, and Ruby Ross Sasser.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Kenneth Weaver, and her daughter, Renee Rhodes (David), all of Clayton.

Mrs. Weaver was a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated from Broughton High School in 1954. Dorothy served as Secretary of Mount Moriah Baptist Church for approximately 30 years, where she was a lifelong member. All who knew her will remember her warm greeting and her sweet smile. She touched the lives of many through her humble spirit and her strong faith in Christ.

Dot’s homecoming service will be at 3:00 PM, October 31, 2022, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 3000 East Garner Road, Raleigh, North Carolina. The family will receive friends at 2:00 PM, prior to the service at Mount Moriah Baptist Church. The interment will follow the service, in the Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Weaver family would like to give a special thanks to the care givers, Michelle Grady, Patricia Kemp, Nellie Nicholson, Olene Wayman, Sue Page, and Elaine Wortham. The care that was given to her during her time of need was beyond amazing.
