Dwan Young-Padgett

Dwan Young-Padgett, 55, died Wednesday at her home after a short battle with cancer. Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of Robert Gordon Gower and the late Sarah Ridoutt Gower. She retired after 37 years at First Citizens Operation Center of Raleigh where she was a CBO II in Research. Dwan loved her job but more importantly, Dwan loved the Lord, as she served in Children’s Church and Kids4Truth at Catawba Springs Christian Church. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday at Catawba Springs Christian Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Donald Padgett; son, Wesley Young of Raleigh; brother, Don Gower and wife, Brenda of Eugene, OR; sister, Beth Gower of Raleigh and a loving host of loving relatives. She was preceded in death by her son, Rainey Young. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
