Dwight L. Hinnant, Jr.

ANGIER – Dwight L. Hinnant Jr., 91, passed away at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh on Thursday. Born in Wake County, he was the son of Dwight L. Hinnant, Sr. and Etta Wilder Hinnant.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 22nd at 11:00 am at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, Angier. Burial will follow the service at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Angier. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 21st at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.

Dwight is survived by his son, Carlton Hinnant (Lynne) of Angier; sisters, Betty June King of Hurdle Mills, NC and Linda Faye Parker (Harold) of Hurdle Mills, NC; brothers, Hillard Lee Hinnant of Bahama; granddaughter, Holly Autry (Jeff) of Bunnlevel; great-grandchildren, Savannah L. Autry, Isabella K. Autry, Vivian S. Autry, and Mallory L. Autry of Bunnlevel.

In addition to his parents, Dwight was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Elsie Driver Hinnant; his son, Kenneth Hinnant; a sister, Grace Hunter and a brother, Robert L. Hinnant.
