Earle Franklin Pate

October 4, 1927 — May 17, 2017

RALEIGH- Earle Franklin Pate, 89, a retired farm equipment salesman, died Wednesday. Born in Anson County, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Cloie Holt Pate. He graduated from Apex High School and was a US Army veteran of WWII. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30-1:45 pm Saturday prior to the service. Survivors include daughter, Ann P. Smith and husband, Joseph of Zebulon; son, Neal F. Pate and wife, Pamela of Willow Spring; sister, Betty Coleman of Apex; 4 grandchildren, Ashley , Caleb, Garrett and Toni Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Garrett Pate. Memorial contributions may be made to Johnston Health Home Care and Hospice, 514 N. Brightleaf Blvd., # 1502, Smithfield, NC.
