Earle Franklin Pate

RALEIGH- Earle Franklin Pate, 89, a retired farm equipment salesman, died Wednesday. Born in Anson County, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Cloie Holt Pate. He graduated from Apex High School and was a US Army veteran of WWII. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30-1:45 pm Saturday prior to the service. Survivors include daughter, Ann P. Smith and husband, Joseph of Zebulon; son, Neal F. Pate and wife, Pamela of Willow Spring; sister, Betty Coleman of Apex; 4 grandchildren, Ashley , Caleb, Garrett and Toni Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Garrett Pate.
