Edith Adams Currin

Angier – Edith Adams Currin, 92, died Monday at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late C.C. and Lila Young Adams.  Edith retired from Campbell University as a sales clerk. Surviving are her daughter, Judith Ann Upchurch and husband Clyde of Marietta, GA; son, Sherman Currin and wife Sandra of Lillington; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Vance Currin, daughter, Carolyn Upchurch and son, Gary Currin.  Also she was preceded in death by her three sisters and two brothers. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Oak Grove Baptist Church.  Interment will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 851 Oak Grove Road, Angier, NC  27501.
