GARNER - Edna Brown Reynolds, 76 years old, has received the reward of a Saint of God on September 25, 2022. Mom has gone to be with God and to reunite with the love of her life of 51 Earthly years and 3 years separated by the vail, Larry Reynolds. Edna spent her entire life caring for others. She received her Nursing training at Watts School of Nursing in Durham, NC. She started her Nursing career at Wake Med Raleigh in the Emergency Department where she met Larry. She continued her nursing career and retired from Dorthea Dix Hospital. Edna joined Garner EMS in the mid 1980’s and spent 20 plus years caring for the community as a volunteer Paramedic. Edna found her faith home with Garner UMC where she realized her true faith and taught Sunday School and many women’s Bible Studies. Her greatest love and the ministry Edna fought God on the most was H.O. P. E (Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement).
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Garner United Methodist Church, Garner. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM -1:45 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Clayton.
Edna left behind her daughter, Stephanie Reynolds Veren of the home and her son, Christopher Reynolds; granddaughters, Brittany and Alexis; brothers-in-law, Jim Reynolds (Pam) of Statesville, NC, Mitch Reynolds of Webster, FL and Mike Reynolds (Cynthia) of Calypso, NC; sister-in-law, Beverly Bennett (Steve) of Raleigh.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Larry Reynolds; parents Claudia and Calvin Brown; sister Margaret Maron; brother, David Brown and her son-in-law, Bill Veren.
