Edna Ross Whaley

GARNER -Edna Ross Whaley, 90 diedSunday at her residence. A native of Pitt Co., she was the daughter of the Charles Herbert and Mamie Whichard Ross. Mrs. Whaley was a retired secretary for Wake Co. Public Schools with 35 years of service, serving at Garner High School and Garner Elementary School.Graveside Services will be 2:00 PMWednesday at Montlawn Memorial Park..She is survived by daughter Betsy Whaley, Garner, sons Ronald L. Whaley and his wife, Kaye and David Whaley and his wife, Diane; sister, Katheryn R. Massey of Morrisville; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Whaley and a daughter, Sandra Whaley Ward.The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.Contributions may be made to the Garner United Methodist Church Mens Bible Class Scholarship Fund.
