Edward Lee Douglas

Garner – Edward L. Douglas “Ed”, 87, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Ed was born in Wayne County on October 1, 1933 to Braxton Douglas and Frances Lucille Powell. There will be a Graveside service Monday Aug. 30, 2021, at 12:00PM, at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:30- 11:30 prior to the service at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Ed is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty H. Douglas; daughter, Kimberly D. Lane (David); grandson, Carrington Jones (Alexis); great-granddaughter, Charley; sister, Alice D. Powell; and a large and loving extended family. In addition to his parents, Ed is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Sharon Hope Douglas; sister, Eunice; and brothers, J.C., Jerry and Richard. Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and sibling who loved fishing. He was a long-time Mason and Shriner and served as a past president of the Zebulon Shrine Club.
